Drs Luc Véchot and Tomasz Olewski attended the Hazards 25 Conference in Edinburgh, Scotland, UK. The event was organized by IChemE in collaboration with MKOPSC.
MKOPSC-Qatar was awarded a research grant in the 8th cycle of the National Priority Research Program Program (NPRP) of the Qatar National Research Fund Grant on the project “Quantitative Safety Assessment of Hydrocarbon Transportation pipelines“. The project aims to develop and validate rigorous and reliable mathematical tools to accurately assess and improve the safety of high pressure hydrocarbon transportation pipelines. The project is led by Drs Luc Vechot, Tomasz Olewski, Ioannis Economou from MKOPSC-Q at Texas A&M University at Qatar and Dr. Haroun Magherefthe from University College London.
Dr Luc Véchot, Managing Director of MKOPSC-Qatar and Assistant Professor of Chemical Engineering at TAMU-Qatar, received the CHEN faculty of the year award from the students at the student luncheon.
